The Parisian Martini Will Be Your New Cocktail Obsession

With Americans spending plenty of time at home, baking and cooking projects have run rampant. But with all that extra time on your hand—and with Mother’s Day nearing—why not look to your trusty bar cart, in an effort to replicate some of your favorite classic cocktails at home?

We’ve got just the book to help: “Pink Gin: More than 30 Pink-Hued Cocktails,” is for the gin and pink fanatic, brimming with recipes that’ll make your local bartender proud. Shake and stir a gimlet, Clover Club, and a Cherry 75 (a riff on a French 75), which will all result in a wonderfully pink final product. Many of the recipes only call for a handful of ingredients—which you probably already have stored in your bar cart—and even if you don’t have a collection of fancy mixologist tools, you can grab long-stemmed glass and gently fill it with your favorite spiked beverage.

To start, try this recipe for a Parisian martini, an apéritif which shows off two of France’s famed boozes: vermouth and cassis. Paired with a fruity gin and a twist of lemon, the chic cocktail will inarguably transport you to a hot French beach, cocktail in one hand, plate of oysters in the other.
